Description
This acrylic on canvas is, together with Portrait 2008, perhaps one of Adam Neate's most defining examples of Dimensionalism, a pictoric style which the painter has been exploring and expanding upon since 2008. 
 
A highly introspective piece which portrays the artist's experience with mental illness, this now iconic piece is a deceptively quiet representation of Neate’s first delving into a multi-dimensional world which fully developed in later works. Initiated in 2008, this work sat in the artist’s studio for nearly 14 years until he decided to complete it in 2022.
