Description
Saltdean Girl - Tan Red (aquamarine foil) is a very special monoprint ( 1/1).
 
Adam Neate and Whistleblower Gallery have had the pleasure to co-publish a series of very special monoprints after the original Saltdean Girl, a Limited Edition of 35 prints, previously released during the artist's solo exhibition Memories (Whistleblower Gallery, June 22 - July 19, 2022).
 
These monoprints come in different colour variations in skin colour, bikini and toenails, and they each have been printed in 18 or 19 colours and/or hand-applied foil, depending on the piece.
 
With a wink to Brighton and its environs, the artist pays homage to his formative years in the city, reminiscing about swimming in the sea of Saltdean and seeing a girl basking under the sun looking like a classic sculpture.
 
Taken after the artist's original Sea Wall - Study of the Memory, Saltdean Girl is a beautiful example of the artist's explorations into dimensionalism and cubism.
 
Each of these monoprints comes signed and numbered by the artist.
